Update after the event
On September 28, 2024, we were thrilled to install our very first pollinator garden in the City of Cambridge—at the beautiful Fresh Pond Reservation!
This new planting builds on an existing pollinator strip that park rangers began a few years ago, located along the Cambridge-Watertown Greenway. With the energetic support of a local Cambridge Scout troop, we removed turf and planted 56 native plants to expand this important habitat.
A big thank-you to Ranger Tim for coordinating the event and welcoming us to Fresh Pond Reservation, and an even bigger shoutout to the scouts for bringing their energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for native plants. You made this day a great success!

Event announcement
Please join us for our first pollinator garden planting on Saturday, the 28th! We will work alongside boy scouts in a project to create a new pollinator garden at Fresh Pond Reservation (FP). Thanks to Fresh Pond’s Ranger Tim, we have a space to plant free native plants that are being donated by the architects of the Pollinature Exhibit at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design (see article).
After planting, we will host a Native Plant Tour of FP. If you would like to join us please fill out this google form.
We hope to see you there!
