We’re excited to share that our group will be tabling at Danehy Park Family Day (https://www.cambridgema.gov/danehyparkfamilyday) – a fun, free event sponsored by the City of Cambridge that draws over 10,000 people each year! This year's event will take place this Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, and it’s a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our growing pollinator garden and connect with the broader community.
Danehy Park Family Day offers something for everyone – families, kids, and adults alike – and our presence there will help raise awareness about the importance of native plants, pollinators, and building community. We’ll have a table with:
- Informational materials about the pollinator garden
- Garden tour sign-up info and maps
- Fun, family-friendly activities for kids
- Volunteer sign-up opportunities
- A chance to talk about our vision for an expanding pollinator habitat throughout Cambridge.
To make this a success, we’re looking for volunteers to help:
- Staff the table and chat with community members
- Set up (between 9:30–10:30 AM) and pack up afterward
- Facilitate children’s activities and engage families
- Promote ongoing garden stewardship opportunities
Whether you can help before the event, during, or both, we’d love to hear from you!
